Bloat or Tympany is a common problem in ruminants, including cattle, sheep, and goats. It occurs when gas builds up in the rumen, causing it to distend and sometimes leading to life-threatening complications. Bloat occurs when the rumen fills with gas and becomes distended. This can lead to a distended abdomen, breathing difficulties, respiratory distress, movement issues and lethargy, restlessness, loss of appetite, discomfort, and even death if not treated promptly.

Bloat-Nix should be generally administered, at 4-6 hourly interval by oral or intra-ruminal route.
In acute and sub-acute gaseous and frothy bloat, first two doses of Bloat-Nix may be administered at one hour interval, with subsequent doses at 4-6 hour intervals.

In chronic bloat, doses should be administered, twice daily after each feeding, till required.
In Impaction doses should be given orally twice daily.
In severe cases, higher doses may be administered (up to double the dose). In emergent and severe condition, doses may be administered directly into the rumen with the help of trocar and cannula.
In severe cases it is essential to seek veterinary care immediately.
