What is Botanica-C?
BOTANICA-C is a unique blend of potent chosen herbs selected for their synergistic and adaptogenic properties which allow them to work together for a more active and better regulated defense immune system. It’s powerful natural wellness herbal formula having potent Antioxidants, Vitamin C, Tannins & other plants phytoconstituents replace the use of synthetic Vitamin C in feed. It works as Free Radical Scavenger & Adaptogen on it’s optimum level to control high levels of stress hormones and enhance the function of immune cells throughout the body. BOTANICA-C decreases the organism’s susceptibility to illness by allowing it to “adapt” to the stressful circumstances by raising nonspecific resistance towards such stresses and allowing the body to maintain optimal homeostasis.
NATURAL STRESS RELIEF: BOTANICA-C having herbs as Adaptogens helps to combat multiple stresses by supporting the body’s ability to adapt to stressors, impacting not only energy, but also strength, endurance and stamina. Adaptogens do this by working directly through reducing production of stress hormones.
SYNTHETIC VITAMIN C REPLACER: BOTANICA-C can be used as replacement of synthetic Vitamin C in feed supplement owing to it having powerful Antioxidant properties of herbs.
HEALTHY DEFENSE SUPPORT: Promotes a healthy resistance to external pressures and aids in the assimilation and metabolism of nutrients leading to optimum growth & performance.
LONGEVITY: Synergistic effects of Antioxidant, Anti-inflammatory & Adaptogenic properties of BOTANICA-C allow them to work together for a more active and better regulated defense immune system that carry wellness benefits for overall health and longevity.
ALL-IN-ONE BLEND: We’ve chosen a powerful blend of the best herbal Antioxidants, Adaptogens & Immunity boosters blended to provide one powerful supplement.
WE CARE ABOUT YOU: No Chemicals or Synthetic Stimulants, Non-GMO ingredients, Vegan, and Gluten-free. All products are produced in a GMP certified and Eco-Friendly facility.
What are the stress inducers & the effect of stress on the body?
What happens when the animal is stressed?
HPA Function during Stress
- The Hypothalamus – Starts secreting Corticotropin Releasing Hormone (CRH) in response to stress. It then stimulates the pituitary gland to secret adrenocorticotropic hormone. The more stressed the body is, the more CRH the hypothalamus will produce.
- The Pituitary Gland – Releases Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) that acts on the adrenal glands to increase production of glucocorticoids and catecholamines.
- The Adrenal Gland – Releases the glucocorticoids. These are hormones that are involved in regulating metabolic rate, inflammation and immune response. The most well-known of these is cortisol.
WEAKENED IMMUNITY
- Increases anti-inflammatory effects that include the inhibition of certain inflammatory mediators that are important in innate immunity, resulting in a lower level of total circulating antibodies, decreased number of lymphocytes, and a decreased humoral immune response.
OXIDATIVE DAMAGE
- Increases the formation of free radicals in the body, which can be extremely destructive. Free radicals react with oxygen and trigger oxidative chain reactions, which ultimately cause significant cell damage through irreversible modification of vital cellular structures such as lipids, proteins and nucleic acids.
What is oxidative stress & its effect on animals?
-
Oxidative stress is commonly defined as an imbalance between pro-oxidants and antioxidants at the cellular or individual level (Lykkesfeldt and Svendsen, 2007). Oxidative stress is a disruption of redox signaling and control (Jones, 2006) which leads to damage of macromolecules such as lipids, proteins, DNA, and disruption of normal metabolism and physiology (Trevisan et al., 1991) leading to loss of cell function, cell death or necrosis (Lykkesfeldt and Svendsen, 2007; Nordberg and Arner, 1991).
Under normal conditions, the oxidation system and antioxidant system of animals are in a state of dynamic equilibrium. Once the body produces too much ROS or the body’s antioxidant system is damaged, the equilibrium will be broken and cause oxidative stress (Kannan, K.; Jain, S.K, 2000). This phenomenon reduces the feed intake of animal and affects the metabolism of the body (Estevez, M., 2015).
-
The imbalance of free radicals in animal cells can affect the growth, health and reproduction of livestock. Free radicals can cause damage cells by reacting strongly to protein molecules, DNA structures and essential fatty acids on the lipid membrane, leading to cell damage and death.
Stress affects the mental and physical conditions through neuro-endocrine-immune reactions. It is this impact that will reduce resistance of animals to environmental pathogens.
Oxidative stress severely affects livestock productivity and implications for reproductive potential, animal health and livestock product quality.
POOR REPRODUCTION: Conception Rate and low embryo quality in sows, The weaning period comes when the oestrus of the sow lasts, Reduce semen quality in pigs.
REDUCED QUALITY OF MEAT AND EGGS: Pale flesh, high water leakage, poor elasticity Fast meat rancid Decreased egg quality.
SENSATIVE TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Heat Stress, Oxidative Stress, Respiratory disease due to weather changes.
BIOCHEMICAL DAMAGE: Milk fever, Ketosis disease, MMA (Mastitis-Uterine-Milk loss)
How to maintain balance between oxidative damage and antioxidative defense in the animal body?
The essential step in maintaining the balance between the oxidative damage and antioxidative defense
in the animal body would be to boost the antioxidant capacity by optimizing the dietary intake of Botanica-C.
